Frequently Asked Questions

What are the visa requirements for Thailand?

For Indian passport holders, Thailand offers a visa-exemption for 60 days. You do not need to pre-apply for this. However, as with all international travel, please ensure your passport has at least 6 months validity and your return journey is booked.

Everyone (including Indian passport holders) will be required to fill the TDAC form before arrival.

What is the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) form?

Starting May 1, 2025, all non-Thai nationals must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before arrival. This replaces paper forms and makes immigration faster.

β€’ Register within 3 days before arrival

β€’ Apply here: tdac.immigration.go.th

β€’ Mandatory for all visa types, including tourist visas and visa-exempt travelers.

Please complete this before your trip to avoid any issues at immigration!

What is the address of the hotel (for TDAC)?

The TDAC form will ask you about your accommodation details. For Avani+ Hua Hin - the province would be PHETCHABURI, district is CHA-AM and postal code is 76120. The full address is 1499 Phet Kasem Rd, Cha-am, Cha-am District, Phetchaburi 76120, Thailand.

Where will I be staying?

We will have rooms for everyone at Avani+ Hua Hin from 8th to 10th November (check-in at 3 PM, check-out at 12 PM).

Some rooms will have early check-in for guests who need to be part of the Mayra ceremony. We will also have a place for guests who arrive earlier than 3 PM to hang out, eat lunch and get to know each other.

If you'd like to stay for additional nights at the hotel, you can get in touch with our RSVP team at +66826763601 (WhatsApp) for group rates.

What is the check-in and check-out time?

Check-in is at 3 PM and check-out is at 12 PM. Early check-in will be provided based on availability.

I'll be arriving before check-in time, is that okay?

No problem at all! We'll have a space for you to hang out and eat lunch while your room is being prepared.

Is breakfast included?

Yes, the standard hotel breakfast buffet (plus some additional Indian items) will be available on all days for our guests.

How does transport to Avani+ Hua Hin work?

We will have cars/vans arranged for all guests on 8th November (arrival) & 10th November (departure). We will pick up / drop off guests at either one of the Bangkok airports (BKK & DMK) as well as limited points in Bangkok city (exact locations are TBD). Hua Hin is a ~3h drive away from Bangkok.

Please provide your arrival/departure details to our RSVP team as soon as possible to ensure a seamless experience.

How long does it take to travel from Bangkok to Hua Hin?

It takes approximately 3 hours to travel from the Suvarnabhumi (BKK) / Don Muang (DMK) airports to Avani+ Hua Hin. Yes, we know it seems a little far but trust us, it is going to be worth it!

What will the weather be like?

Welcome to sunny Thailand! β˜€οΈ Expect the outdoor events to be warm & humid (especially those in the daytime). While we'll have cold drinks & fans available for guests, we recommend wearing lighter clothes than what one would traditionally wear in India for a wedding.

What should I wear?

Please see our schedule above for the dress code per event. However, do note that our dress code is completely optional, please don't go out of your way to stick by it.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

We recommend wearing something comfortable to dance in for all events! For the outdoor events in particular, it will take place on grassy patches so try to avoid pointy heels.

Should I carry real jewelry?

While one set of real jewelry is probably okay, we do not recommend carrying a lot of real jewelry to our wedding as one would in India. It may cause trouble with customs in Thailand or your originating country (e.g. India).

Is it okay to take photos during the wedding?

Absolutely! Please share them with us via this Google Photos album. We will also have professional photographers & videographers at the event whose photos we will share with all guests at a later time.

Do you have a shared album for the wedding?

Of course we do! Share your photos with us and other guests via this Google Photos album.

Can I bring wedding gifts to Thailand?

We're more than delighted that so many of our loved ones are flying down to Thailand to celebrate with us and your presence is more than we can ask for. Please do not bring any physical gifts to Thailand as it'll be difficult for us to carry them back home.

Whom should I contact if I have any questions?

You can contact our RSVP team at +66826763601 (WhatsApp), or feel free to get in touch with us directly.
